Why We Keep the Record

The King George Historical Society is dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing the rich history, antiquities, and literature of King George County, Virginia.

 

Through its museum and research center, the Society offers residents and visitors access to historical exhibits, genealogical resources, and educational programs that highlight the county's heritage.​

Its holdings span permanent and rotating exhibits, a genealogy research center, and archives of local documents and photographs — supplemented by community events including annual picnics, holiday celebrations, and educational workshops.
